The Finance, Accounting and Legal functions are essential to the smooth running of any company. Often associated with the support departments of organizations, they play a real cementing role in the structuring of these organizations. A company’s accounting system can be either in-house or outsourced. In both cases, there are several levels in an accounting department.
At a first level, accounting assistants handle data entry, tax and VAT declarations, and document preparation.
Accounting assistants then take on more responsibilities than accounting assistants: reviewing files, balance sheets and tax returns, making appointments with customers…
Then come the project managers, who are more experienced than the accountants and manage the projects. In addition to their technical knowledge, project managers need to master management skills in order to successfully complete the projects entrusted to them.
The group manager supervises all team members, and is the point of contact between the chartered accountant and the various collaborators. In addition to these tasks, they must also manage a customer portfolio!
Finally, the chartered accountant manages a portfolio of complex or group files. He also supervises associates and canvasses for new clients.
